The programme is not finalized yet, but a draft including keynote and invited speakers is available here.

The following topics will be covered by the meeting:

Modern biotechnology in integrated crop management
Risk assessment of GM plants including products from the public sector
Plant protection products produced by GMOs, including microbials and microorganisms
New plants derived from biotechnology (including genome editing) and their potential for IPM
Insect resistance management strategies of GM crops
GM insects for agriculture
Plants using RNAi technology to provide pathogen or insect resistance
(joint workshop with iPlanta COST Action)

The COST Action iPlanta, Working Group 3, is having a workshop at the IOBC meeting. Wednesday (6 September 2017) morning will start with a joint session on “plants using RNAi technology to provide pathogen or insect resistance”. Topics include targets of dsRNA in insects, exposure to dsRNA along the trophic chain, and methodology for environmental risk assessment of dsRNA expressing plants.

A number of scientists from Member States which joined the iPlanta COST Action can be supported for travelling and subsistence to attend the two-days meeting upon submission of an abstract for a presentation at the workshop.

More details on the iPlanta workshop programme and abstract submission details can be found here.
